A Programming Bootcamp For Non-Programmers
Keep following us for upcoming sessions!
Technology changes the world at an incredible pace thanks to its exponential growth. Having
technical skills will soon be indispensable. We want to offer youth an opportunity to
prepare for the future today.
Our bootcamp is open for EVERYONE who are curious to learn about
programming and/or who wants to take their first steps into the IT industry.
HackTechGO! is a non-profit that mainly works for diversity in technology and IT. It is
about teaching programming to people (focusing on youth) with "unconventional" backgrounds
like those of minority backgrounds, refugees and immigrants.
We want to empower youth
by providing them with the tools and knowledge to navigate in today's digital world.
We believe that everyone has the potential to be talented given equal rights, resources and
opportunities!
HackTechGO! is a 3 months' coding bootcamp (August-November) that will help you kick-start your IT career. Our classes are held 2 days a week, around 3 hours each time (it is expected that you work by yourself in addition to this).
Our three months' course will cover both front-end and back-end with programming languages & technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Wordpress, NodeJS, MongoDB, APIs, and, Git/Github. However, what we value most is that our students learn how to think as a programmer, how to solve problems, and how to manage a project. This fundamental knowledge prepares our students for their first job as a web developer.
In addition to coding, we will help you with soft skills to stand out as a developer in a competitive market.
Anyone (especially 15-30 years old youth with minority background) who is serious about learning to program and/or want to start their career in web development. Women are strongly encouraged to apply. No technical background required. The bootcamp is completely FREE, and will be held August 14-November 30. The bootcamp will be held in Norwegian, unless English is specifically requested by the participants. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will get certificates and references endorsing their coding literacy.
